Smoothie it up

As we head into a holiday week at our house we try to make an emphasis towards clean eating and taking care of our bodies (notice we said “try”…we don’t ALWAYS succeed, but mostly!). We aim to minimize the damage of comfort foods that are typically hard to avoid around the holidays by exercising regularly and eating nutritious foods…and smoothies!

This smoothie is an absolute favorite breakfast at our house and we felt like it was just too good to keep a secret! Consider it our holiday gift to you! 🙂

The Mocha (Chocolate and Coffee) Peanut Butter Smoothie

1/4 Cup of Almond Milk (or Milk of Choice)

3/4 Cup of COLD Coffee (I used Sumatra, but almost any kind will taste delicious!)

1 Frozen Banana

2 Handfuls of Spinach Leaves

1 Handful of Baby Carrots

1 Scoop of Chocolate Weigh Powder

1 TSP of Peanut Butter

2 TSP of P2B Powdered, Peanut Butter (or one more TSP of Peanut Butter)

1 TSP Chia Seeds

1 TSP of Flax Seed

Directions: Ice (to whatever consistency desired) Put everything together. Blend until smooth. Tweak as necessary.

Tip: Don’t put the ice in first…the smoother you start, the easier it will be to blend.
